Be a part of the Mission Team!
Have you been feeling a nudge from the Holy Spirit to serve Him? To step out and do something a bit out of your comfort zone?
As most of you know, our National LWML motto is Psalm 100:2 which says, "Serve the Lord with gladness..." This verse encourages a joyful and enthusiastic approach to serving God. The District has felt this 'nudge' to Serve and we are inviting you join God's Mission Team.
The Utah-Idaho District LWML is planning a Mission Trip to:
EL PASO, TX/ JUAREZ, MEXICO - Facilitated by YLM - Ysleta Lutheran Mission
Scheduled for JANUARY 10-17, 2026
Focusing on Women's Ministry
Consider what a GROWING experience this can be; sharing your faith and the LOVE of Jesus with others!
Lead and participate in Bible Study with the women, joining together in prayer, and crafting to make their own Bible covers and bookmarks.
This is not just GOOD NEWS, this is GREAT NEWS! Let's share this amazing GIFT with these dear women.
Please pray about joining the 'Team' and send in your registration and $100 to save your spot by the end of July 2025. You do not have to be an LWML member to participate.
Approximate Cost: $700 for housing, food and transportation in Texas/Mexico
$300-400 airline tickets (at this time)
+++ Personal Expenses
***We have a Mission Grant ($5000) for this trip to be used to assist with registration expenses for the Team. The amount per person will depend on the number of participants. Individuals are welcome to fundraise to help defray the cost or by asking for donations from your church, LWML Group or friends/family.
A passport will be needed!
To reserve your spot on the team, please fill out the 'Individual Application' (located on our website on the District Mission Trip page under Events) along with a $100 nonrefundable deposit, and mail them to Toni Champlin by the end of July 2025.
