2020 Utah-Idaho LWML Nominee Profiles
Below you will find the Nominee Profiles for election of officers at Utah/Idaho LWML 2020 convention in Boise, Idaho. Nominations will also be taken from the convention floor, with the prior approval of the person being nominated.
Vice President of Gospel Outreach - Jeannie Barrette
Home congregation is St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ogden, Utah. She has recently retired from teaching in the Dental Assisting Program in Ogden. LWML Service: District Vice President of Servant Resources, Albuquerque Convention Host Committee, co-chairman of 2019 Camp Perkins Retreat, and chairman of several church retreats. She is currently serving as Vice President of her society.

Vice President of Servant Resources - Tonya Barber
Home congregation is Zion Lutheran Church, Nampa, Idaho. She is employed as the Admissions Director at Zion Lutheran School in Nampa. LWML Service: Tonya has served her local society as President, Vice President and Secretary. On the Western Zone level she has served as Secretary. For the District she has held the office of Vice President of Gospel Outreach, the registrar for Camp Perkins Retreat and 2012 Utah/Idaho District Convention, and will serve as the registrar for our convention this year.

LWML Service: Tonya has served her local society as President, Vice President and Secretary. On the Western Zone level she has served as Secretary. Vice President of Communication - Nancy Almodovar, PhD
Home congregation is Faith Lutheran Church, Mountain Home, Idaho. She is a Professor of World Religions at Park University. As an author and speaker she maintains a strong social media presence and has an online blog. Through the use of social media she is extremely versed in communication with believers and unbelievers. LWML Service: She has been a member of LWML for the past two years but has held no positions with the LWML to date.

Home congregation is Grace Lutheran Church, Pocatello, Idaho. She works with her husband at Elliott Color Box Media where she is media buyer, social media manager, bookkeeper, and office director. She is also publicity chair for the Pocatello Centennial Rotary Club. LWML Service: She is currently the Editor of the U&I Together. She has also served as interim Society President and was selected to attend the National LWML Assembly of Leaders (AOL) seminar, giving her the opportunity to travel to all the zone events to present leadership highlights. She has served at Camp Perkins in many different positions and has planned retreats for ladies in other congregation. Her degree is in Mass Communication.

Home Congregation is Hope Lutheran Church, Idaho Falls, Idaho where he serves as their pastor. LWML Service: Rev. Pay has never served with the LWML but greatly admires the passion and faithfulness of the LWML. He wishes for the rest of the Synod at large to see the LWML for what it really is: “a faithful organization of women from all ages that enjoy fellowship together around the Word of God and raises millions for the sake of the Gospel and the needy.”

Barckholtz has not held a position with the LWML, he has served at Circuit Counselor, member of a Mission Action Committee and is currently the Magic Valley Circuit Visitor. He states “. . . every day and deed should reflect JOY in the people around us so they also learn of Jesus’ love and grace.”

Prior to retiring she was a Production Kitchen Manager for her local school district and was responsible for counting and balancing three sales registers daily.
