Western Zone Fall Event
The Western Zone held its first ever Zoom Fall Rally on Oct 3, 2020, and we are happy to say it was a success, with 41 women and men on line for the Rally. Special Guest WendySue Fluegge from Wisconsin provided some beautiful music. Bible study was led by Pastor Matt Henry on Separated but Bound by Love (Eph. 4:16). Seven different mission projects received canned foods, food baskets with scrubbies, quilts, eye glasses, paper products, cheese and chicken and white socks. Thank you to all the women of the Western Zone for making this program successful and for your generous blessings to those in need. Central Zone Fall Event On October 4, 2020 the Central Zone met together for a Fall Event “Kingdom People Produce Kingdom Fruit” (LWML Sunday 2020) at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rupert, ID. The Bible Study, based on the LWML Sunday program, was led by our Pastoral Counselor Pastor Gullidge from St. Paul’s in Jerome. Unfortunately our speaker did not show up, so small groups and the full group discussed how members were able to support and care for family, friends, church members, etc. during the Covid 19 shutdown and how we can continue to support others as we move forward. We spent a few minutes going over the resources that LWML.org has available for use during the continued Covid social distancing precautions. Women were again encouraged to either ask for assistance in using technology or helping others to use technology to stay connected with each other and with LWML sisters. Our ingathering was new or gently used Bibles, food, and small kitchen gadgets for Victory Home Restoration Center that has facilities in both Twin Falls and Burley, ID. Though our group was about 10 or so women less then for an average event, the women felt blessed to have the opportunity to meet together in worship and fellowship. |
