activities. I served as a 4-H volunteer for 31 years for Jerome County and held many officer positions at the local and district level. Currently I am employed as a 4-H Coordinator in Lincoln County and have led many adult and youth activities and events.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen
(Hebrews 11:1).

PAMLA QUISLER
My name is Pamla Quisler. I live in Meridian, Idaho, with my husband, Andy. We have two grown sons, Kelson and Seth.
Before staying home and volunteering, my career consisted of making scissors. I was a Lead/Trainer. (That’s where I met my husband.) Later, I was a Line Lead/Trainer in a Cheese Plant for 13-1/2 years. I kept up the production books. I was Secretary of the Safety Team for 13 years and Secretary of the Hazmat Team for 10 Years.
When Holy Trinity members were building their mission church in Riverton, Utah, I joined their LWML as a Secretary (2014-2018). Later, I became the “Church Lady” there entering attendance, etc. and doing what needed to be done. In addition, I volunteered in the infant, six weeks – two years) room at the preschool for several years.
I joined Christ Lutheran Church in Meridian, Idaho, in 2019. In 2021, I became President of our LWML group. I enjoy all facets of it from writing agendas to leading meetings and planning Advent by Candlelight and Spring Tea (Secret Prayer Pal) programs.
I’m originally from Wausau (Central) Wisconsin. So I love the outdoors, cheese and the Green Bay Packers.
In my free time I love to bake, cook, read and travel with my husband. In 2024 I’m embarking on a new passion – sewing quilts. No matter what I do, I do it with my whole heart.
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace (1 Peter 4:10).

VP OF COMMUNICATION
SHELBY EHLERS
Hi! My name is Shelby Ehlers and I am running for Vice President of Communication in the Utah-Idaho District. I am a Certified Veterinary Technician and Practice Manager at Rupert Animal Clinic in Rupert, Idaho, where I help my team build cohesiveness and work together through improvement of communication and our clinic’s best practices. I also manage their social media and website. I own a small business training horses.
Being a Pastor’s kid, I have had the opportunity to serve with my family in ministry for a large part of my life. I am currently serving as the social media and website director for Trinity Lutheran Church in Rupert, where my dad is the pastor. Another way I enjoy serving is musically with my husband, Jonathon Ehlers, either by singing or playing a musical instrument.
I have had the pleasure of being involved in LWML since the Utah-Idaho District Convention in Pocatello, Idaho, in 2018. I was asked to be a Young Woman Representative (YWR) for the Yellowstone Zone as my family was attending Grace Lutheran Church. I was amazed to learn everything that LWML did locally and nationally and loved the parliamentary procedures in all matters of business. In 2020 I accepted the nomination to be a District YWR at the 2021 National LWML Convention in Lexington, Kentucky, along with Madison Elliott.
When my family was called to Trinity Lutheran Church in Rupert, Idaho, I became involved with Trinity’s Dorcas Society/LWML group regularly in 2021. I attended the Utah-Idaho District Convention in Burley in 2022 when I presented my experiences as a National YWR in Lexington along with helping the District YWRs feel welcome. The opportunity arose for me to attend the LWML Assembly of Leaders with the Utah-Idaho District in St. Louis in October 2022. After that experience, I traveled with my fellow Assembly of Leaders trainees to the District’s zone events to present the material learned at the training. When we returned home from the training, I accepted the nomination to be the District’s Social Media Manager with the approval of the Board of Directors.
If elected, I would be honored to serve as your Vice President of Communication. Thank you for this opportunity!
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving (Colossians 2:6-7).

SECRETARY
DAWN BURMEISTER
At eight years old I was baptized on November 17, 1979, at Faith Baptist Church in Burns, Oregon. I was confirmed in the LCMS faith on November 17, 2000, at Grace Lutheran Church in Visalia, California, where I married a Minnesotan in April 2001.
I practiced public health veterinary medicine in both the military and civil service until I retired in 2009. James and I have lived in California, Minnesota, Georgia, Wisconsin, (back to Minnesota), Oregon, and now Idaho. We have no children, but my parents live next door on our property we bought three years ago in Mountain Home, Idaho.
I enjoy helping my parents, making our new house our home, tending roses, and raising a small herd of Boer goats. I joined the LWML earlier this year through Faith Lutheran Church in Mountain Home. Although new to LWML, I wish to serve the Lord with my time and talents in any way He sees fit.
They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

VP of GOSPEL OUTREACH
TONI CHAMPLIN
I am a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Eden, Idaho. Thus, I have had wonderful mentors for LWML – my grandmother, my mother, and several aunts. I always admired their dedication to “serving the Lord with gladness!" Over the years, I participated in many LWML activities and service projects but I did not become a full-fledged member until about a dozen years ago.
In my younger years and as a mother of two sons, I focused more on children's ministry and served as a Sunday school teacher, Sunday School Superintendent and Director of Vacation Bible School (VBS). When my sons grew up, I felt the nudge from the Holy Spirit to become an official member of LWML. I was quickly elected as president of our group and served that position for several years along with serving on the Central Zone Board.
Most recently, I had the pleasure and privilege to serve as a Utah-Idaho delegate to the 2023 LWML National Convention in Milwaukee. It was inspiring to listen to the reports of the missionaries and hear how God is working miracles in the hearts of people around the world. Also, connecting with other LWMLers across the country, sharing ideas, encouragement, worship and praise was a delightful experience.
I have worked in the dental healthcare profession as a dental hygienist for 40 years and I am still employed at a dental office in Twin Falls. My husband and I live near Kimberly on the Champlin family farm. Besides LWML and being a team member of the King Kids ministry in our community, I enjoy family trips, gardening, sewing, crafting, hiking, snowshoeing, and river rafting, along with other outdoor activities. Two years ago my husband and I were blessed with an opportunity of a lifetime – to travel to Israel and participate in a hiking Bible study trip. The experience was exhilarating to think that I was walking and hiking on some of the same paths, roads and mountains that Jesus did! Each day is a joy knowing that Jesus is my Savior!
Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
